Simon Chodziesner is an Aussie.  He has travelled to Ireland twice a year for the past 5 years since meeting his wife,

Martina McConigley from Fanad in North Donegal.

An avid runner for the past 20 years, in August 2015 Simon will embark on his biggest running challenge yet - to run from Mizen Head to Malin Head, from the most southerly tip of Ireland as far north as you can go – 569km in 18 days!

“Why” you may ask -. “Why not?” Simon says!

Simon has a 20 year love of running and in that time has completed 14 marathons, an ultra-marathon (65km) and a Half Ironman triathlon. Simon's marathon running has taken him across the globe from Australia to Europe.  He competed in Paris in 2013 and even ran the Donegal Marathon in Letterkenny in 2014.

Charity begins at home
Simon’s biggest drive is his next big challenge and his passion for using his running to raise funds for charity. Through the Mizen to Malin challenge, Simon hopes to raise money for two charities close to his heart:

Friends of Letterkenny General Hospital - the local hospital where Simon's Donegal family have been well cared for over the years [http://www.friendsoflgh.ie]; their current project is the Friends of LGH Onconolgy Bus.
